Chronos "Evil" Lait (クロノス・”イビル”・レート Kuronosu "Ibiru" Rēto) is one of the playable characters in Golden Axe III
Story[]
A humanoid panther, Chronos originally was a human being, but was transformed into a beast man by the dark magic of Damned Hellstrike and the Golden Axe. Despite this and the name he's been imposed with, Chronos fights alongside the heroes to free the East Land from Hellstrike's dark rule and in hopes of returning to his original form.

Chronos is an agile fighter and can use fog magic.

- Chronos Lait is a tongue and cheek reference to the 1991 Disney film: Beauty and the Beast. With heavy emphasis on The Beast, and his fitting resemblance. Chronos meaning time, and "Lait" being "tail" spelled backwards, this character's namesake comes from the movie's #1 hit song "Tale As Old As Time".
